Overview

Using the premise of the sketchbook, notebook, journal or diary, you are to develop a personal response to the proposition: how to record the overseas location as a unique site. The notions of site-specificity, context, perception and cultural difference in relation to contemporary art practice will be addressed. An informed and developed sensitivity to the documentation of research activity is intended to facilitate the student's major study. While any media may be employed in the analysis of site and context, the documentation of the skills and knowledge acquired should remain two-dimensional.
