The European Union: Challenges, Crises And Opportunities

Overview

In this unit, you will examine the social dynamics of the Australian population. We will explore the key population concepts and tools and components of population change, and substantive issues including population ageing, patterns in and explanations for partnering and childbearing in Australia, and immigration, integration and social cohesion. You will also address population questions in-depth by using unit record data from the most recent Australian census.

Workload

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
